Supporting excellent foster care in our community. There are almost 700 children and young people across Rhondda Cynon Taf who are not able to live with their birth families and are in our care. We need local people to come forward and become foster carers to provide those children and young people with a safe and supportive home. cause they are unable to stay with their own family. You’ll be supported by our team at every stage so that you can confidently care for children and young people when they need it most. We do encourage you to gain a bit of life experience, but age alone doesn't determine your ability to provide the care, support and stability a child needs.

Yes! Whether you rent or own your home doesn't determine whether you can foster.
The most important thing is having the space to welcome a child into your home, including, in most cases, a spare bedroom where they can have their own space.

There is no "perfect" family set-up when it comes to fostering. What matters most is your commitment, resilience and ability to provide a safe, stable and caring home for a child.
