🚧 Sanday Road closed for resurfacing 18 October -30 October
Sanday Road will close from 9am Sunday 18 October to Friday 30 October for resurfacing.
Pedestrian access will remain open.
Residents will continue to be able to access their properties.

Weekend night buses from are running tonight from midnight! 🌃 🚌

The five routes are paid for by Aberdeen City Council and will be operated by on Friday and Saturday nights, from 12midnight to approx 3am.
The routes cover Inverurie and Banchory, Kingswells, Bridge of Don, Cove, Kincorth, and areas and villages in between.

First Aberdeen’s single fares will apply on the service and Concessionary and Under 22’s National Entitlement Cards travel for free.

*** PATH UPDATE ***
The section of The Deeside Way from Murtle Mill to West Cults Road has reopened after works have been completed.
Another part of the route is to have a temporary closure due to further essential drainage works to prevent flooding.
The second section to be improved will be in Garthdee, from Pitfodels Station Road to Garthdee Farm Gardens. Works are to start on Monday 19 October and due to take about 10 days to complete.
There will be two diversion routes. The first is via Morrison Drive, Auchinyell Road, and Garthdee Road. The second, which includes steps, is via Pitfodels Station Road, North Deeside Road, and a path back onto The Deeside Way. There will be diversion aids and maps on both routes.
The works, which are necessary after the path was previously flooded, will improve the drainage either side of the path to ensure there is no repeat.

Works are to start this week to deliver improvements at the B999/Shielhill Road junction.

The work includes improvements on the junction itself, removing the tight bend on the B999, and widening verges on Shielhill Road. The main contractor is Hunter Construction and the site preparation works are due to start on Thursday 15 October 2026.

Creative industries across the North East have welcomed new research showing the value of the sector and the part it can play in the region’s economic future.

The response comes after a report which said the creative sector has a £675million impact to the region’s economy which is a significantly larger creative economy than previously recorded with approximately 10,490 creative workers.
