The third phase of installing the new Voi electric bikes in Aberdeen is to start this week while a total of 55,000 journeys have been taken on them so far.
Phase three areas include Persley, Danestone, Bridge of Don, Altens, Cove, and Charleston. The University of Aberdeen has also approved parking bays at the Old Aberdeen Campus and Hillhead student accommodation.

Sports centres are to get a raft of building improvements ranging from resurfacing of car parks to replacement of main hall lighting.
The works are part of a £27.164million scheme to repair or improve Council buildings which have been prioritised for inclusion in the Condition & Suitability Programme over the next three financial years. The programme was approved at the Council’s Finance and Resources Committee yesterday.

Repairs and improvements are to be carried out to public and historic buildings in Aberdeen including Aberdeen Art Gallery, the Arts Centre, Central Library, and the Maritime Museum.

***ROADS UPDATE***
South Anderson Drive will be closed in both directions between Broomhill and Garthdee roundabouts from this Sunday, 9 August, for three weeks, for resurfacing works. Access to Headland Court will be maintained with temporary removal of the buildout on Ruthrieston Road for the duration of the works. We appreciate people's patience and understanding during the closure and apologise for any inconvenience.
