Aberdeen's Fireworks Display returns on Thursday 5 November!

Aberdeen’s much-loved fireworks display will return to dazzle crowds again this year on Thursday 5 November.

The display will begin at 7.30pm and last around 20 minutes, with fireworks launched from the end of Port of Aberdeen’s North Pier with spectators able to watch from the southern end of the Esplanade.

The date is set.

The FIA World Rally Championship returns to the UK in 2027, with Rally Scotland bringing six days of action to Aberdeen and the forests of the north-east.

The recce begins on Tuesday. Shakedown and the event start follow on Thursday. Then, from Friday to Sunday, the world’s best rally crews take on Scotland’s gravel roads.

Save the date. Rally Scotland is coming.

A reminder that the Celebrate Aberdeen parade takes place today (Saturday 29 August) - a celebration full of colour and noise that recognises the work of the third sector in Aberdeen.

A number of road closures will be in place on the parade route and surrounding streets between 10am and 1pm - we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Mel's Mile will start from 10.30am with 3 running races on the parade route.

At 11am the parade of up to 4,000 people, representing over 100 third sector organisations will start from Albyn Place and make its way onto Union Street, Union Terrace, Rosemount Viaduct, Schoolhill and Upperkirkgate before finishing on Broad Street.
