Yesterday we had to say goodbye to another of our long serving volunteers. We wave cheerio to Judith (in the dark blue t-shirt), who was Chair of our group for many years until she stepped down last year. She has been a dedicated volunteer over the years, rarely missing any of the volunteer sessions, even popping down "out of hours" to do some necessary gardening tasks. She built up the gardens to the high standard you see today, was responsible for all our wonderful murals and instrumental in getting the new play panels installed in the childrens play park. I've personally, as the Vice Chair, benefitted from all that she's passed on and she's always been supportive of my ideas. We will continue to build on her success, even though it looks like we're going to have to drastically change planting plans to drought friendly. We'll make sure they're all as beautiful as what has been planted over the years under Judith's watch. Happy second retirement and you know where we are at coffee break every Monday morning! ☺️
