Join us to bear witness and to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Our focus this week is Israels assualt on the press in Gaza, resulting in the deadliest crisis for journalists ever recorded by CPJ (The Committee to Protect Journalists).

Palestinian journalists are being killed in their homes, alongside their families, and while clearly identifiable as press.

📆 Saturday August 22nd
🕥 11am-12.30pm
📍 Outside old Natwest building, Abergavenny
☝️Please note change of location for this event

'Israel’s disregard for the lives of journalists — and for the international laws designed to protect them — is unparalleled. Israel has now killed more journalists than any other government since CPJ began collecting data in 1992, making this war the deadliest on record for journalists...

'To date, CPJ has determined that at least 75 journalists and media workers were directly targeted and killed by Israeli forces in direct reprisal for their work, and continues to investigate many other cases of suspected targeted killings'.

Palestinian journalists are being murdered, silenced, and forced to work under bombardment and communications blackouts. The impact is devastating. Every journalist killed is a story that will never be told, a human‑rights violation that becomes harder to verify, a community left without its own narrators.

Palestinian journalists are primary witnesses and their systematic erasure means the information we receive via mainstream media becomes ever more skewed towards power and away from truth. This is how atrocities are hidden: not just through violence, but through the destruction of those who document it.

Silencing journalists is an assault on truth, on accountability, and on our right to know what is being done in our name.

Israel continues to maim and murder without consequence.

What you can't see in this picture is that one of the womans hands is completely severed. In the video she is looking to the sky. Quietly praying.

These people were in a cafe, in the port of Gaza. Reports say they had gone to the coast to seek respite.

What if it was your mother? At least six Palestinians were killed and many others were injured after an Israeli occupation airstrike targeted and struck a café near the port of Gaza City.

Thanks to all who took part in our weekly gathering for Gaza last Saturday.

Our focus was the 13 children Israel killed in July this year.

A reminder that 21,500 children - including more than 1000 infants - have been killed by Israeli forces since October 2023, and more than 4000 children have undergone limb amputations.

We appreciate all who attend our gatherings, who donate, and who support in any way they can.

A selection of photos from our last 2 gatherings for Gaza.

Our gathering on the 1st of August focused on the latest development in Israel's ethnic cleansing - a plan to build a concentration camp for 60,000 displaced Palestinians.

Last Saturday we gathered in recognition of a recent mass funeral for 112 Palestinians pulled from the rubble.

Thanks to all who join us - your presence is solidarity.

We will continue to gather, organise, fundraise and educate until Palestine is free.

Join us to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their ongoing struggle for justice and liberation.

This week in Gaza, a mass funeral was held for 112 members of two extended families. Their bodies were only recently recovered from beneath the rubble of a residential block destroyed by an Israeli airstrike on 22 November 2023.

The strike killed more than 300 people, including 40 children, leaving many victims unrecoverable for nearly three years. Like so many Palestinian families, they were denied even the basic dignity of closure.

We reject this inhumanity and we refuse to look away.
