Bele’r Coed yn ffynnu yn Hafod | Pine Martens thriving at Hafod
Rydyn ni wedi mwynhau gweithio gyda Vincent Wildlife Trust i osod 'bocsys poeth' ac rydyn ni'n gyffrous i weld beth fydd y camerâu llwybr yn ei weld!

We’ve loved working with the Vincent Wildlife Trust to install ‘hot boxes’ and we’re excited to see what the trail cameras will pick up!
Exciting news from Mid‑Wales! 🐾
This week, during our annual den box monitoring field work in Mid Wales, staff and volunteers were thrilled to discover four of the den boxes being used... hopefully by pine martens! Using a thermal imaging camera, we detected heat signatures in four boxes!
These ‘hot boxes’ now have trail cameras set up nearby, and we’re hoping that we’ll be rewarded with sightings of pine marten mothers and their kits during the summer months.
A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers and Hafod NT/YG ranger team for supporting this monitoring work.
The project has been made possible thanks to The National Lottery Heritage Fund
