Last night we were invited to attend the Oxfordshire Young Farmers Harvest Festival which was kindly hosted by The Drayton Farming Club at St John the Baptist Church in Kingston Bagpuize.

Our members brought along various donations and offerings of produce for the local food bank and community larder. We also took the time to come together as a county and shared updates from our club's and spoke a little bit about what we've all been up to recently, with our members Macey and Beth sharing a few words and taking part in readings on behalf of the club.

It was great to see so many members from Abingdon getting involved in the service in so many different ways. We had members helping run the car parking, members taking part in readings, sharing information about the club, helping during collections and handing out orders of service.

A huge thankyou to Drayton Farming Club for hosting us and for putting on the spread of refreshments which we all enjoyed after the service.

On Thursday night we hosted our AGM at The Milton Methodist Church.

We had a great turnout of members for the evening and took time to look back over the past years activities and achievements both as a club and also individuals. While all together as a club we also took the time to vote on our 2026/ 2027 charities who we will be fundraising for this coming year.

The evening was then wrapped up with everyone enjoying some refreshments from the wonderful spread which members of the club and committee helped to provide.

🏃‍♀️ONLY 2 WEEKS TO GO!🏃‍♂️

It’s only 2 weeks until Henley Half Marathon!

Macey, Emily, Hannah, Joe and one of our Advisories, Jonny have been training really hard for it.

It hasn’t been easy, we’ve had a few injuries along the way, but they are all pushing through and determined to get to that finish line! We also want to thank those who are helping train with them 💪🏼

They are hoping to raise as much money as possible for FarmAbility which is a fantastic local charity that we chose as our club charity last year.

FarmAbility works with people with learning disabilities and autism through farming and outdoor activities, and it’s a cause really close to our hearts.

If you can spare anything at all, big or small, please donate — it really does mean the world to us and to them.

Link to donate https://gofund.me/4b9ae9dd0 💛💵

Good luck to our Abingdon team with their training 💛
