We have joined up to Smokefree Lancashire Stoptober campaign and have organised a community walk. Join our walk leaders on the following date for a walk around Woodnook Nature Reserve:

🗓️ Friday 30th October
⏰ 10am - 1pm
📍 Meeting point: Carers link Lancashire, 54-56 Blackburn Road, Accrington, BB5 1LE

The walk is open to anyone who'd like to join us, we will start and finish the walk at our Accrington community hub where refreshments can be purchased.

*Please wear suitable walking shoes and clothing and dress appropriately for the weather. The walk should take just over an hour, and a reasonable level of fitness will be required as there will be a slight incline during the walk.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the support we offer to carers, we’re inviting you to take part in our Carers Annual Survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and will help shape the services, activities, and resources we provide in the future.

The survey covers:

• Services you’ve accessed
• Your satisfaction with support received
• The impact of your caring role on your wellbeing
• Activities and engagement opportunities
• Suggestions for improvement

It should take around 5–10 minutes to complete, and your responses will remain confidential.

Lancashire County Council would like to invite you to take part in a short survey to help shape the future of homecare services across England, to contribute to a national piece of work with the Department of Health and Social Care, exploring how homecare services can better support people and families in the future. As someone with lived experience of caring, your views are incredibly important.

During the survey, you will be asked to share your experiences and ideas about:
• How we can improve care and support at home?
• What has been the best homecare you have had?
• What changes in homecare would you like to see?
• Has there been a time when you wished it could do more or be different?

This is an opportunity to ensure that the voices of unpaid carers help influence future thinking and development at a national level.

We visited Tesco's in Rawtenstall this week to receive a fantastic donation of children's Christmas clothes, which will be available to purchase at our Carers Link Lancashire charity shops.

Our new Benefits Officer Courtney will be on hand to advise you and can book you in for a session for more complex advise and support to complete forms. Dates and times for drop in sessions and appointments are listed on the poster below.

This week we received a visit from Stephen Mars from Bramwell Estate Planning who kindly presented us with a cheque for a donation which was gratefully accepted by our Services Manager Audra. Bramwell Estate Planning can advise carers about Lasting Power of Attorney.

Thank you Stephen from everyone at Carers Link Lancashire for your wonderful donation which will help us with our work supporting unpaid carers across East Lancashire.
