On Tuesday 30th June, 4-5pm, Founder of the Armed Forces Reading Charity 'Reading Force', Rev'd Professor Alison Baverstock MBE will be reading Meg Rosoff's 'Almost Nothing Happened', a brilliantly witty adventure!

Tomorrow marks the start of the Empathy Day Festival – a national initiative taking place from 4–11 June. This annual event aims to inspire children to learn more about empathy and strive to build a better world for everyone.

Picking up a book can help young people step into the lives of different characters, experiencing their joy, grief and fears. Reading teaches an understanding for others, an ability to listen before reacting and to pause before judging.
