Today’s Investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle saw our very own Capt (MAA) S Hawkins MBE RAPTC receive his MBE from Prince William. Surrounded by the people that mean the most to him, today recognises his service to the Corps, Defence and the Nation, it exemplifies the calibre of people within our ranks, inspirational to his family and all those who serve with him.

Normandy Battlefield Study - Defence School of Transport.

WO2 (QMSI) Baldwin and Sgt (SI) Dyson RAPTC recently delivered a Normandy Battlefield Study to Permanent Staff and Civil Service members at DST Leconfield.

The study explored the intricate planning, ex*****on, and legacy of the Normandy Campaign, combining historical analysis with battlefield leadership, decision-making and professional military education. Through engaging group presentations and discussion, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made during Operation OVERLORD and the enduring lessons that remain relevant to today’s military professionals.

With a visit to Southwick Park (Op OVERLORD HQ) to set the scene, followed by a series of visits along the Normandy coastline, including Pegasus Bridge, Arromanches, and Omaha Beach before concluding with a small Remembrance Service at the British Memorial. Showcasing the versatility of the RAPTCI and what we can deliver, the study week reinforced commitment to developing informed leaders while preserving the history, values, and standards of those who served before us. 🔴⚫️⚔️

RAPTC Golf v Infantry Golf

A 0500hrs start today to get up to Ripon City Golf Club as the Corps took on the Infantry at a superb venue with exceptional weather and even better company. A hard fought 4-4 draw was achieved today and the team continues to go from strength to strength as we recruit more and more to the representative squad. Thank you to all involved today for a great match.

The team moves on to the RAPTC Sports Awards Dinner Night on Thursday, we look forward to seeing you all there 💪🏻👍🏻🔴⚫️⚔️🏌️‍♂️

Today’s Pass out Parade not only celebrated the successful students on both the AAPTI and RAPTCI Courses, it was also a chance to recognise excellence and our outstanding people.

3 LS&GC medals and a Bde Commanders commendation were awarded to 3 truly deserving SNCOs whose dedication, commitment and unwavering support to Defence was recognised, surrounded by colleagues and loved ones.

Awards are very seldom won by individuals, they are generally the culmination of a team effort, unified in purpose, driven by strong leadership. Families of the SP presented with awards were also recognised today, as without them, the lows wouldn’t be as bearable and the highs wouldn’t mean as much. Congratulations to all.

A warm welcome to the Corps also to Sgt (SI) Richmond who was presented with his cross swords and crown by WO2 (QMSI) Archie Richmond, we love to see it💪🏻👍🏻🔴⚫️⚔️

RAPTC Champions on the National Stage

Test Staff…. History was made at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall, on Sunday 14th June, as the Corps’ legendary gymnastics heritage made a return to the British Adult Gymnastics Championships.

While the Army does not currently recognise gymnastics as a sport, SSgt (SSI) Beau Rigby and Maj (MAA) Steve Chappell, competed under a combined Defence banner as part of the Royal Navy Gymnastics Team. British Champions for both:

🥇 SSgt (SSI) Beau Rigby – 1st Place & British Champion (Over 30s Novice).

🥇 Maj (MAA) Steve Chappell – 1st Place & British Champion (Over 40s Intermediate).

The legacy is safe in their hands; personnel at any level are welcome.

Massive congratulations to both! 👏👏

Corps SM Update -

The SMAA and I was out on the road early this morning as we attended the AAPTI Pass out Parade at Grantham, the final Forward Edge delivery and another exceptional course delivered by the deployed team from the ASPT, led by WO2 (QMSI) C Duncan RAPTC. We wish all the newly qualified AAPTIs well as they step off on their initial PD journey 💪🏻

Back in the car, we headed over to Stanford Hall to celebrate the graduation of JSSERI Course 71. 7 newly qualified ERIs from the Corps completed their course today and will now depart for their new postings, working relentlessly to ensure our people return to fitness as quick as possible, enhancing deployability and war fighting capabilities. We also got a tour of the facilities and a run down of how the site / course has evolved over the years and the plans for the future. Special thank you to SMI Gledhill, Q Best, Q Jerrams and SSgt Quinn.

Back in the car and off to Aldershot as we prepare for the Pass out Parade at the ASPT tomorrow, we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there tomorrow 💪🏻👍🏻🔴⚫️⚔️

WO2 (QMSI) R Duncan RAPTC - Operation 100

In support of Military vs Cancer, WO2 Duncan will be running 4.2 Miles on the hour every hour for 24 hours until he reaches his 100 mile goal.

Operation 100 is a 24-hour treadmill challenge at Garstang Gym on 18 June 2026. Running 4.2 miles every hour for 24 consecutive hours — 100.8 miles in total — in aid of Military vs Cancer, a charity supporting serving personnel, veterans and immediate family affected by cancer. The event has been organised at the heart of the community who have helped Q Duncan’s family through a strenuous year. All funds go directly to the charity. Corps SM Update - A great visit yesterday to Brawdy in Haverfordwest to see 14 Signal Regiment (EW) and our very own SSgt (SSI) N Jones RAPTC.

The morning started at 0800 sharp with phys with the Regiment and being put through my paces by the exceptional PD team at 14SR. This was followed by various office calls with the CoC to discuss their challenges and areas of exploitation that we as a Corps can have an impact on.

The visit also afforded me the time to present SSgt (SSI) N Jones with her sporting colours for Triathlon as she will be unable to attend the sports awards next week. SSgt Jones will shortly be departing the Services after completing a full career, she has paved the way for future generations and has been a beacon of light and inspiration in both the working and sporting arenas.

Thank you for everything that you have done in enhancing the reputation of our Corps, you will be missed, but as always, it’s never goodbye, it’s always see you later.
