With changes to the Free School Meals criteria in Northumberland, now is a good time to check whether your family could be eligible.

Free school meals are about so much more than the meal itself. ❤️

🥦 Healthy, nutritious food to give children the energy they need to learn and grow
🧠 Better concentration to help children get the most from their day at school
💷 Money back in your pocket, potentially saving your family £500+ each year
🏫 More support for your school, registering could also unlock additional Pupil Premium funding, helping schools provide extra opportunities and support for children.

And there’s something really important to know…

👉 Even if your child already receives universal free school meals in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, you should still check whether you are eligible for Free School Meals. Registering could mean additional funding for your child’s school.

Quick check: If you receive Universal Credit, Income Support or qualifying tax credits, you could be eligible.

We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow and to a fantastic year in school.

A little reminder for the Ruby Class.
Year 1 Rubies should line up at the pencils in the main yard in the morning.

As an enormous thank you for all of their hard work this year, Emerald class have had a fun day together. They have enjoyed creating beautiful chalk drawings on the playground, ice lollies in the classroom and lots of fun in the ☀️
Please remember water bottles, suncream and hats tomorrow as there’s another hot day forecast.

After school tomorrow we will be selling the remaining sweet bags on the yard at home time. 2 bags for 50p. A nice little treat to end the week. If you were unable to purchase your children’s summer fayre craft, they will also be on sale after school too.

A huge thank you to all of our parents and carers for coming along to our fayre today. It was a huge success and a massive £624.60 was raised for our PTA, Friends of Harry Hotspur.
The winners of the raffle, the domino card, the map and the naming of the teddy bear will all be revealed at the coffee morning next Friday . We hope to see you there.

We are very much looking forward to our school fayre tomorrow. Please bring along lots of pennies. We don’t have huge amounts of change we can provide.
