🚨 LET’S BE CLEAR WHO DID THE WORK.

Children’s Services judged INADEQUATE

Only the Conservatives called the Emergency Scrutiny Meeting.

Only the Conservatives called the Extraordinary Council Meeting.

Greens did nothing they decided to jump on the bandwagon afterwards. We did the hard work to force these failures into the open and demand answers.

Labour were given two opportunities to accept accountability.

Twice they voted NO.

And Tom Ross? Still no resignation after being asked to resign over 20 times. Meanwhile still taking the additional leaders allowance.💷

When it mattered, Conservatives acted. We won't STOP.

Remember that in May 2027. 💙

Three hundred extra school places? Very welcome indeed. Except, of course, for the awkward little detail that it doesn’t actually increase the overall provision. Labour pulled the plug on 300 places at Altrincham College of Arts with £2 million apparently disappearing down the plughole with them.

Well done to the all, especially parents who refused to give up and go away, and to my Conservative councillors who kept lobbying. This is a victory for persistence and common sense.

But nobody should be cracking open the champagne just yet. It doesn’t go nearly far enough. We still need more school places, and our campaign will continue until we get them.

Ofsted's judgement that Trafford Children's Services is "Inadequate."

Yes folks we are here again 2019 - 2022 we were in special measures and we are back there again.

This is one of the most serious judgements Ofsted can make. It represents a significant failure in the Council's duty to safeguard and support some of Trafford's most vulnerable children and families.

Councillor Tom Ross do you have anything to say? Not forgetting this is all under your watch.

Local Green Councillor for Altrincham wants to twin Greater Manchester with Palestinian City.

What the actual…

We need a Mayor for all of Greater Manchester, not a Mayor for Gaza.

Not only has Geraldine Coggins totally and utterly failed to grip the vile antisemitism engulfing her campaign, but she and the Green Party have chosen a moment when Jewish people are feeling profound hurt following a terrorist attack against them on the streets of our city to make this announcement.

This is proof, if proof were needed, that the Greens have no plan for Greater Manchester and are more interested in pursuing divisive sectarian politics than bringing our communities together.

Residents deserve to know where the money goes. They deserve value for money. And they deserve a Mayor who is accountable to them.

No more blank cheques. No more closed-door decisions. No more excuses.

This concrete bollard has been sheared clean off its stem and left lying on its side on Stamford New Road, right on a busy stretch with a pedestrian crossing, next to shops and near the bus station.

I've reported it to the council with photos and location. If you've seen it too, it’s worth reporting as well, the more reports logged, the faster these things tend to get fixed.

Does anyone know what happened?

Weeds Weeds Everywhere What Will Make it Stop?

Funny how council tax can go up 7.5% but the weeds in Altrincham still get a 0% maintenance budget. Every pavement crack is basically its own nature reserve at this point.

We’re paying more for less, come on Trafford Council, a weed-whacker isn’t exactly cutting-edge technology.
