The Minor Injuries Unit / Walk-in Centre remains closed.
Whilst talking to residents it's clear we need Altrincham Minor Injuries unit/walk in centre reopened.
The Labour Mayor of Greater Manchester is one of the most influential figures in our devolved health and care system. Local residents want him to use that influence to help reopen the centre.
Residents have also not forgotten Labour Councillor Sophie Taylor questioning whether the service was needed at all:
“...is this service actually needed?”
The answer is clearly yes.
Hospitals such as Wythenshawe are already under significant pressure and it's getting worse. Reopening the Minor Injuries Unit would help ease the burden on busy A&E departments, ensure patients are treated closer to home, and improve access to healthcare for local people.
Our community deserves better. I will continue fighting for the reopening of the centre and for the healthcare services local people need and deserve.
Do you agree that the Minor Injuries Unit should be reopened? Let Nick know in the comments below.
