It's less than a week until the end of the summer holidays, but the beat goes on for the Summer Reading Challenge! 🏖📚🎶

The Summer Reading Challenge continues after the school holidays and runs until Saturday 12th September. There are stickers to be collected and certificates to be earned, so if your little readers still have some books to do, there is plenty of time to come on down!

Join us at Alvechurch Library on Tuesday 25th August, 2.30pm, for a Taylor Swift event! We will be reading Taylor's story then designing and making your own friendship bracelets.

The session is £1.50 per child, and it is aimed at age 7 upwards, because the nature of the activity. Younger chidren will need a lot of adult support to complete the craft.
Places need to be booked, so message us through Facebook or call into the library to get your spot.

Our sister library in Redditch town centre is having a big birthday celebration this Saturday, 15th August. Pop in between 11am - 2pm for fun and crafts, and plenty of cake!

Redditch Library is 50 Years Old!! 🎂📚🎉

Back in January, the Redditch Library building turned 50 years old and this weekend we are holding a very special birthday party to celebrate.

Join us this Saturday, 15th August, from 11am-2pm for an Alice in Wonderland themed day. There will be crafts, activities, and plenty of cake, and we will be singing 'happy birthday' at 1pm. Hope to see you there! 🎁📖🎈

Join us at Alvechurch Library for another Summer Reading Challenge activity, making music. Friday 21st August at 11am, we will be reading the book The Music In Me, then making musical instruments to take home.

🚀Read to a Cosmic Beat!

⭐There is still time to book on our Meet the Planets workshop, Tuesday 11 August at 11:30am.

🌍Taking inspiration from Gustav Holst's famous The Planets Suite, we will be exploring the amazing planets in our solar system through music before creating their own cosmic masterpiece to take home.
