🌹 Hauxley Community Garden 🌹

Did you know that Hauxley has its very own little community garden? Originally known as the Rose Garden, it’s located next to Low Hauxley Village Hall.

Over the years, the garden has been reinvented, and it’s now undergoing another exciting reimagining. 🌱

Community volunteers have already been busy clearing the area and replacing the old fence. Plans for the next stage include new raised beds, seating and a second village library. 📚🌿

A huge thank you to all the residents who have already given their time and energy to help make this happen. ❤️

🌊 Help Keep Hauxley’s Coastline Clean 🌊

Recent tides have washed extra plastic pollution, including nurdles (small plastic pellets), and other litter onto our beaches.

Over 2500 nurdles were collected between 3 residents on Low Hauxley Beach on Wednesday. A further 5000 were collected on Thursday.

If you're out enjoying a walk around High Hauxley or Low Hauxley Beach, please consider taking a few minutes to collect any plastic pollution or litter you find. Every handful removed helps protect our wildlife, marine environment and beautiful coastline.

✅ Collected nurdles can be deposited in the collection box located at the top of the ramp at Low Hauxley Beach.

Please stay safe around the shoreline, and help spread the word to friends, family and visitors.

Together, we can make a real difference and keep our coast clean for everyone. 💙♻️
