The first meadow cut has finished early and the Nature Park is now open.
Thanks for your patient consideration.
The meadow is cut in 2 halves, allowing nectar for insects to remain while the first seeds are settling into the ground.
The pattern of halves changes each year so the section cut first this year will be late cut, next year etc.

The Meadow will have its first cut next week between Monday and Wednesday.
For safety reasons the park will be closed before 4pm each day. We are sorry for the inconvenience but need to help with setting seeds for next year's Meadow.

Today is the start of the Big Butterfly
Count 2026! Between now and the 9th of August you can spend 15 minutes counting the Butterflies you see and then submit your results to the Butterfly Conservation via their website or the Big Butterfly Count App.

I thought this was the perfect chance to share a collage of some of the beautiful Butterflies I’ve been able to photograph in recent years! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that lots of Butterflies show up when I do my count this year!
