There are free activities in Ammanford Park on Wednesdays and Thursdays through the summer. Adults must stay with children.

๐Ÿ“ Registration: 10:30am at the Hut in the park. (But you can join in later too)
๐ŸŽ‰ Activities Begin: 11:00am
โฐ Sessions Finish: 3:00pm

Activities include:
๐ŸŽพ Tennis Skills
๐Ÿ€ Basketball Skills
๐ŸŽฏ Boules
๐Ÿ‘ Croquet
๐ŸŽฒ Garden Games

โ™Ÿ๏ธ At 12:00 - 15:00 there will also be Chess Lessons and games in the Bandstand with Amman Boars Chess Club.

๐Ÿ“ข Quay Street โ€“ Paving Repair Works

Please be advised that Carmarthenshire County Council will be starting works today, Monday 17th August 2026, in Quay Street, Ammanford Town Centre.

The works are being undertaken to repair a number of broken and damaged paving slabs within the town centre, helping to improve the safety and condition of the pedestrian areas.

There may be some temporary disruption or restricted access to small sections of the pavement while the works are being carried out. Please take extra care when walking through the area and follow any signage or instructions provided by the contractors.

We appreciate your patience while these necessary repairs are completed.

Weโ€™re pleased to let everyone know that the **water cannons are being re-introduced to the Splash Pad at Ammanford Park today!** ๐ŸŒŠโ˜€๏ธ

๐Ÿ”ง **Please note:** The Splash Pad may have a **slightly delayed opening today** while the water cannons are installed and the necessary checks are completed.

We know how popular this feature is, so weโ€™re delighted to be bringing it back for children and families to enjoy during the summer holidays. ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ™Œ

Weโ€™ll get the Splash Pad open as soon as the installation is safely completed.

Looking for something fun to do this summer? Come to Ammanford Park fo FREE family activity sessions!

Sessions: Wednesday 12th August and Thursday 13th August 2026

Following the launch, sessions will run every Wednesday and Thursday from 12th August until the end of the summer holidays.

๐Ÿ“ Registration: 10:30am at the Market Hut with our Activities Coach.
๐ŸŽ‰ Activities Begin: 11:00am
โ™Ÿ๏ธ Chess Lessons: 12:00pm
โฐ Sessions Finish: 3:00pm

Our Activities Coach will be at the Market Hut from 10:30am to welcome families, register participants and provide information on the day's activities.
