Well done everyone. A tough night for everyone

From 7pm – 11.59pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026, our Regional Control Centre received 82 emergency calls resulting in crews being mobilised to 33 incidents across Northern Ireland.

We responded to incidents across Belfast, Mallusk, Glengormley and Portadown, which included a vehicle fire, lorry fire, house fire, derelict building fire and industrial bin fire.

Firefighters from Glengormley, Westland, Springfield, Knock and Portadown Fire Stations attended the incidents and extinguished the fires.

Our crews also continued to respond to other emergencies including a road traffic collision in Bangor.

We would like to thank our Firefighters for their continued commitment and to our community for their ongoing support.

We have had a busy evening responding to a high volume of fire calls. Between 7pm and 12am, our Regional Control Centre have managed 256 calls resulting in attendance at 62 incidents.

The majority of these incidents were in the Greater Belfast Area where an additional 21 Fire Appliances from across Northern Ireland were required to meet demand.

We would like to recognise our personnel for their professionalism during a challenging period, and extend our appreciation to the community for their support in assisting our response.

Crews are currently attending gorse fires in the Loughermore Forest area of Dungiven.

The initial call was received at 9:11pm, Wednesday 29th April 2026.

Currently 49 Firefighters from stations in Dungiven, Limavady, Maghera, Crescent Link, Coleraine and Ballycastle are attending. A Command Support Unit from Strabane Station is also in attendance. Crews are currently working hard to bring the incident under control.

Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed, and members of the public are asked to avoid the area to support firefighting operations.

We would like to thank the public for their patience whilst we deal with this incident.
