I welcome the Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald's announcement of a 2.7% increase to maximum Higher Education maintenance grants and loans, helping students facing ongoing financial pressures.

This builds on last year’s 20% uplift to maintenance loans and will help more students stay in education during challenging times.

The Good Jobs Bill will also benefit student workers, including ensuring tips and service charges are passed on in full and giving those on regular work patterns the right to move to banded-hours contracts.

These are practical measures to help students with the cost of living, stay in education and progress into good jobs.

Workers deserve to keep 100% of the tips they earn.

Yet the DUP is blocking the Good Jobs Bill which would guarantee that.

It’s time for Emma Little Pengelly to stop blocking this bill and denying support to workers

It's clear the Irish people do not want Ireland playing Israel while the Palestinian people endure genocide, occupation and apartheid.

On Tuesday, Sinn Féin will bring a motion before the Dáil to support calls to

Ireland must take a stand. The FAI must take a stand. The government must take a stand.

The people are leading. It's time for those in positions of responsibility to follow.
