BBQ Breaches - open fires and BBQ's are banned in open spaces throughout the Derbyshire Dales and The Peak District. During this period of warm and dry weather there are risks of wildfires and if you are enjoying our public spaces please leave the bbq at home and bring a picnic (and bags to take all litter home)
During The Summer Solstice (June 21st) patrols will take place with areas popular with visitors to include Stanton Moor and the Nine Ladies Stone Circle.
Breaches should be reported to selfserve.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/renderform?t=220&k=3F1121C18F9396B6D81C8AD46ED327D8B5431529
and if you see a fire that poses immediate risk you should ring 999
Ashbourne Recreation Ground has a Parks and Open Spaces Order (2025) that prohibits the use of BBQ's and open fires.
