I was brought up in Kent and my family has been involved with Kent agriculture for three generations, including at the former Wye College of Agriculture in Ashford Borough. I became a chartered surveyor, working in areas such as the planning system, social housing provision, commercial property and the building of new NHS GP surgeries. rd. This includes work with older people through charity CARM, a driver for older residents who cannot drive and advice for local residents on planning issues which cause them concern.
