🌍 WALK FOR NEPAL FLOOD RELIEF 🌍

Recent devastating floods in Nepal have left families without homes, food, and essential supplies. Together we can help.

Join us for a Charity Track Walk and raise funds towards Nepal flood relief

📅 Date: Weekend of 5th & 6th September 2026
⏰ Time: Saturday 08:30 – 15:30/Sunday 08:00 – 14:00
📍 Location: Julie Rose Stadium

YOU CHOOSE the day and time! Simply come along and help make a difference!

✅ Walk as many laps as you can
✅ Collect sponsorship or make a donation
✅ Invite friends, family, and colleagues to take part

All funds raised will help support:
• Emergency shelter
• Food and clean water
• Medical supplies

Registration Fee: £5 per walker
Every donation counts. Whether you walk, sponsor someone, or simply make a donation, your support will make a real difference.

If you want to donate to help the people in Nepal and Tibet here is a link promoted by the Sagarmatha Gurkha Nepalese Community.

I have also been told that Ashford Freeshop are taking donations.

The Nepali government have asked for people NOT to send clothes or toys, as this becomes a waste management issue that just adds to problems.

A great buzz at the Eat well, Spend Less Roadshow today at New Wells Willesborough. It's on until 2.30pm. Lots of useful community organisations giving information and advice, recipe cards, fruit & veg and other bits and pieces to bring home to help out.

Caritas a community based charity are holding a WEEE (Waste Electronic and Electrical) Collection on Saturday 5th and 6th September 2026. There will be two pink tubs outside St Teresa’s Church, Maidstone Road for electrical waste. You can walk up and deposit items, or drive up and unload your car.

Electronic waste containing data — including laptops and mobile phones — should be handed to St Teresa’s Church Hall, which will be staffed from 9am–5pm.

Last year they collected 740kg and hope to beat that this year.

The collection has also been extended to St Simon Stock, Brookfield Road, which is collecting electrical items only.
