Kent Fostering and Supported Homes This page offers information about events and recent news about Kent Fostering and Supported Homes

Kent Fostering and Supported Homes is the most experienced fostering service in Kent, and we have been looking after children for over 40 years. We are a public service and not for profit, and therefore our only goal is to provide safe, nurturing
homes for our children. We are part of Kent County Council (KCC), for whom fostering is a priority. Unlike other independent fostering agencies, we make

a commitment to place our Kent children and young people in Kent homes, and therefore family time and other meetings and commitments will be more local to where you live. Our social workers and Kent Fostering team are local too, meaning that they can be available and responsive as and when you need them. Our page is monitored occasionally throughout working hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. We will aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible, but the best method is to contact us via phone on 03000 420 002 or visit our website www.kentfostering.co.uk

This page is a public forum, so please do not post anything that may cause offence. Any post that is considered offensive will be deleted and the person may be blocked from the page. If you have a complaint, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

πŸŽ’πŸ’™ Positive feedback from KAFC's Summerfest at Dreamland πŸ’™πŸŽ’

It was wonderful to join foster families from across Kent at the Kent Association for Foster Carers' (KAFC) Summerfest event at Dreamland. The feedback from carers has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the welcoming atmosphere, the opportunity to connect with other fostering families, and the positive impact the day had on children and young people.

One carer shared:
"We all enjoyed spending quality time together as a family. The children had fun going on the rides, trying different activities, and building their confidence by experiencing new attractions. It gave them the opportunity to socialise, make positive memories and enjoy being active outdoors."

Another said:
"It was nice to see other carers and some from out of area that I hadn't seen for years. I always feel part of the fostering community."

And another reflected on a particularly special moment:

"For my young person, she was able to meet up with some of her siblings who are also in care."

We were delighted to attend and see so many foster families enjoying the day, making memories, strengthening relationships and connecting with the wider fostering community.

A huge thank you to KAFC for organising another fantastic event and to everyone who helped make the day such a success. 🌟

πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to everyone who received their A-Level and GCSE results this year! πŸŽ‰

Whether you achieved the grades you were hoping for, exceeded your expectations, or are considering your next steps, today marks an important milestone in your journey.

We are especially proud of the children and young people in Kent's fostering community who have worked hard, shown resilience and embraced new challenges throughout the year.

Remember, results are just one part of your story. There are many pathways to success, and every achievement deserves to be celebrated.

🌟 Well done to all our young people. We wish you every success for the future.
