We absolutely loved seeing our Year 4 children get creative with their Egyptian Day costumes. It was great to see everyone getting involved and bringing their learning about Ancient Egypt to life! ⭐

SCHOOL OPEN AS NORMAL TODAY
As per our communications to parents yesterday afternoon at around 3pm, we would like to confirm that both schools are open as normal today. Certain news outlets and AI searches are stating that we are closed - that is not the case.

Unfortunately, despite our continued work with South East Water, the issue affecting the school's water supply has not yet been resolved. We have therefore made the decision that the school will remain closed for the rest of today.

We appreciate that this will cause disruption for families and thank you for your patience and understanding. The safety and wellbeing of our children and staff must remain our priority.

We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day and will contact families later this afternoon with an update regarding arrangements for tomorrow.

For children who would like something to do at home today, there are home learning links available on our school website. There is absolutely no expectation for children to complete this; they are simply available should you find them helpful.

Thank you again for your understanding.

DELAYED OPENING
We are currently experiencing a significant problem with the water supply to school. Some areas of the school currently have no running water, while others are operating from a limited tank supply.

As we cannot currently be confident that we can maintain appropriate toilet, handwashing and drinking-water facilities throughout the morning, we are delaying opening while we establish when the full water supply will be restored.

Please do not bring children to school until you receive a further update from us. We will update families as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

🎁Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2026🎁

We’re pleased to be running our Christmas Shoebox Appeal for Cry in the Dark again this year.

It’s always a lovely activity for our children, giving them the opportunity to learn about giving and helping to make Christmas special for children in Romania.

We would be very grateful for donations of new items to fill the shoeboxes, as well as empty shoeboxes with removable lids.

Please send donations into school by Friday 16th October. Thank you for your support!

Our newsletter for this week should now be in your inbox! In it we mention the exciting Big Clothes Day we're doing for Children with Cancer UK next Friday... Please bring donations into school in cash if possible as this helps us to track the amount raised and make sure the schools hit our fundraising goal!
