🌿 NATURE BUDDIES IS BACK! 🐝🌱🐞

This September - join us!

Looking for something fun to do together outdoors? Nature Buddies is our Saturday nature group for children aged 3–8 and their families — and older siblings are very welcome too! 💚

Join us at Community Green Allotment in Dukinfield for six weeks of outdoor family fun, including:

🌱 Growing & gardening
🎨 Nature crafts
🌾 Scarecrow making
🐞 Helping to care for local wildlife
🌳 And plenty of time outdoors exploring and having fun together!

📅 Saturdays from 12th September for 6 weeks
⏰ 1pm–3pm
📍 Community Green Allotment, Meadow Lane, Dukinfield, SK16 4AN
💷 £3 per child | £5 for 2 children
🍎 Snacks & a drink provided

What a wonderful summer we’ve had at LEAP Allotment Adventures🌻🌱

Over the summer our families have been busy digging, planting, growing, creating, exploring and getting wonderfully muddy along the way! 💚

A huge thank you to all of the children, parents and carers who joined us over the summer — and to everyone who helped make our sessions so much fun. 🌿☀️

🌱 LEAP Families: Plant, Grow & Bloom! 🌻

We’re excited to be starting our next 6-week Plant, Grow & Bloom course, beginning Monday 8 September!

Designed for children aged 5–9 years and their parent or carer, the sessions are all about getting outdoors, getting stuck in and having fun together. 🌿

Don’t just take our word for it — one of our families from the last course told us:

💚 “Amazing sessions, the children have had a great time and I have too! We have learnt so much.”

Across the six weeks, families will enjoy planting and growing, water play, making seed bombs, earth art, wind mobiles and plenty more — with refreshments and snacks provided too.

⏰ 3.45pm – 5.45pm

Allotments For All 💚

It’s been a busy couple of weeks on the allotment, with plenty of harvesting, watering, cooking and keeping everything growing.

We’ve been picking some brilliant produce — including plums and some absolutely enormous yellow courgettes 💀😂 — looking after the beds, getting stuck into jobs around the site and making good use of what we’ve grown in the kitchen too.

Lots of teamwork, fresh air, good food and plenty to be proud of. 💚

This week we’ve been learning all about water harvesting and why saving water is so important for our gardens. 💚

The group got creative painting our water butt and even made their own watering cans using recycled milk bottles! ♻️🌧️

A lovely mix of learning, making and getting hands-on outdoors. 🌿

Yes… we really have been planting our pants! 😂

💚We have been getting stuck into another brilliant week. We’ve buried our pants as part of our soil experiment, explored what’s inside a seed, and had lots of fun sowing seeds ready to watch them grow. 🌱🔍

💚 Next week, we’ll be making watering cans and enjoying some water games! 💦☀️

💚 Our Plant, Grow & Bloom sessions are a fun, hands-on way for children to learn about growing, nature and the world beneath their feet — with plenty of messy fun along the way!
