Happy 100th Birthday to an absolute legend of The Club. Been coming in here longer than I’ve been alive. Was a great night last night and I was so happy to see so many people turn out for our Kelly.
Here’s to 100 more years, because I’m pretty sure she’s a vampire or something. No stopping her! Even got up and gave us a song at the end. Like I say… Legend. 🙌🏻

August 2026 has been a busy month for the North West Area Conservative Clubs Advisory Committee including Walmersley Conservative Club 100th Anniversary, Guide Bridge Con Club Gig Link auditions night, Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club Summer Beach Party Charity Fundraiser, Staleyward Number Two Conservative Club Charity Event for Stalybridge Old Band, attending the Stockport Krazy Races, supporting the Ukrainian Centre, and much more.

Preparations are now underway to organise the Annual General Meeting.

Yesterday the Chairman of the North West Area Conservative Clubs Advisory Committee, Leon Tamcken, along with Vice Treasurer Brian Higgins, Event Planner Leanne Nuttall, and area representative Phil Skrynski attended Walmersley Conservative Club, Bury to celebrated there special centennial - 100 years of serving the local community.

Celebrations were held including entertainment from Leah Kay, Saskia Reay, and Harley Digby Rigby, with facepainting and a magician for the children.

Walmersley continues to go from strength to strength including the recent edition of a children's outdoor play area. Carrie, Val, Kelly and the team are doing a fantastic job 👏

The Mather Road Club established in 1925 also used the celebrations to raise money upgrade the club's defibrillator (AED) and to support Bury Hospice with monies still being counted.

Also a big thank you to Connect Comms for providing the marquee at the last minute to protect us all from the weather.

Last night members of the North West Area Conservative Clubs Advisory Committee Team including Chairman Leon Tamcken, Vice Treasurer Brian Higgins and Area Representative Caroline Thistleton attended the hugely popular and successful Gig Link showcase at Guide Bridge Con Club

Great to see a number of our clubs in attendance including Stanley Square Conservative Club, Hadfield Conservative Club, Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club in attendance to support brand new, up and coming talent.
