Thanks to our volunteers who helped tidy around the memorial wood on Wednesday. A much cooler day than earlier this week. Plenty of butterflies spotted in this little woodland.

Due to the really hot weather we will find another day to finish painting the slabs at the playground. But a big thanks to those who did come along and put their creative skills to work

🌿 Important Notice 🌿

As we head into Summer, we’d like to remind visitors that swimming is NOT permitted at any of our sites and to take precautions to prevent fires, helping us protect both people and the natural environment.

During dry conditions, our green spaces and wildlife are more vulnerable, so we kindly ask everyone to take extra care when visiting:
❌ Please don’t enter the water
❌ Do not use BBQs
❌ Do not light bonfires or campfires
🔥 Report any signs of fire by calling 999

These actions help safeguard local habitats, protect wildlife, and keep our spaces safe for everyone to enjoy. The wellbeing of our visitors and the natural environment is always our priority, so please plan ahead and take care during hot weather.

For weather updates, visit the Met Office website.

A bit of a blowy day on the park! Planting some lovely fruit trees today, with help from our volunteers and thanks to ranger Eddie who came along to help.
We've also acquired some more hedgerow to fill in a few gaps, we've a few more to plant but this will help increase habitat for nesting birds in the future.
