A quick update on the free bus service for swimming sessions 🚌

From Monday 15th June, the timetable is changing slightly, with new time slots in place.

The service will still run on selected days with pick-up and drop-off at Atherstone Bus Station, helping you to continue swimming at nearby leisure centres while we begin work on Atherstone’s new leisure centre.

If you’re planning to book a seat, it’s worth checking the updated times before you firm up your plans.

Tea Dance and Bowls Update

The weekly Tea Dance and Bowls sessions have been an important part of life at Atherstone Memorial Hall for many years, and we’re pleased they will continue at Mancetter Memorial Hall while plans for the new leisure facility progress.

Both activities will take place every Thursday and are open to anyone who would like to join. Tea and coffee will be available at each session.

Bowls
Thursdays | 12:00pm – 1:30pm

Tea Dance
Thursdays | 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Booking is required. Spaces can be booked and paid for via the app or website.

Free bus service for swimming while the leisure centre is closed.

As work begins on Atherstone’s new leisure centre, we know how important swimming and regular routines are to many people.

To support members during the closure, a free bus service will be in place from 27th April to help residents access swimming at nearby leisure centres. The service runs on selected days, with pick up and drop off at Atherstone Bus Station, and is part of the wider arrangements to maintain access while the new centre is being built.

This approach reflects a focus on continuity and value for members, while investment is directed towards delivering a modern leisure facility for the future.

North Warwickshire Borough Council Announces Construction Start Date for the Borough’s New Leisure Centre

North Warwickshire’s plans for a new leisure centre based in Atherstone have moved forward once again, with Speller Metcalfe appointed as the Principal Contractor for the scheme.
