The Lloyds Tour of Britain Men is coming to Warwickshire next Friday, 5 September! 🚴‍♂️

We can’t wait to welcome Stage 4 of this prestigious cycling event to our county. Whether you’ll be heading up to Burton Dassett Hills Country Park for the exciting hill-climb finish, or cheering from the end of your street, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the race.

If you live or are planning to travel in the vicinity of the race route, please take a careful look at the road closures set to be in place on the day.

And if you’d like to attend the finale at Burton Dassett Hills, don’t forget to book a place on our Park & Ride service.

In case you haven’t seen it, the village Notice Board has details of the proposed traffic changes at the Fenny Drayton Lane and Woodford Lane junctions on the A5. The deadline for comments is this Friday 24th Nov - not much time we’ve been given to comment since these sheets have been posted on the board (perhaps that was deliberate?).
If you feel strongly about the changes, please get your comments in. There is understandable concern that the left in, left out only junctions will now just push more traffic through Witherley as they can’t now go through Fenny Drayton. Good news for Fenny but not good news for Witherley and the roads out of Witherley to the A444 are not as able to take that traffic being single lane with blind bends. The addresses for comments are on the sheet and also on https://miraconsultation.co.uk/
There are some good proposals for traffic around the new MIRA site but the issue of these dangerous junctions seem to be just pushing the problem further down the A5 to Witherley. Also, without a competent and functioning Parish Council we won’t be represented with councillors only interested in Fenny Drayton. It’s an omnishambles at the moment so not good timing for our interests to be fought for.
