💜 Just a few days to go…

Our new Bereavement Support Group at Attleborough Library starts next week, and we’d love to welcome you along.

If you’re living with the loss of someone you care about, you don’t have to go through it alone. The group offers a friendly, informal space to meet others, share experiences if you wish, or simply enjoy a cuppa and some company. 💜☕

📍 Attleborough Library

There’s no need to book and the session is free – just come along. Everyone is welcome.

The group will then meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

Run in partnership with Rosedale Funeral Home Bereavement Support Groups.

🎉Well done to everyone who came to collect their rewards for finishing the Summer Reading Challenge at the library this afternoon! 🎉

Library manager Kaleigh and Councillor Daniel Piddington presented children with their medals and certificates for completing Read To The Beat, The Reading Agency's annual promotion to encourage children to continue to read during the holidays.

But don't worry, there's still time to finish the reading challenge! Just visit the library whenever we are staffed to continue collecting stickers, and your medal and certificate when you have finished.

Meet Your Local Breckland Police Officer at Attleborough Library 🚓

Have a question for your local police? Want to raise a concern or simply say hello?

Come along to Attleborough Library on Friday 28th August, 4:00–6:00pm, where friendly officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team, including PC Phillips, will be available for an informal drop-in session.

Whether you'd like crime prevention advice, have questions about local issues, or just want to get to know your neighbourhood officers, everyone is welcome.

💜 Bereavement Support Group at Attleborough Library

We’re pleased to be starting a new informal bereavement support group at Attleborough Library, in partnership with Rosedale Funeral Homel Bereavement Support Groups.

The group offers a friendly and welcoming space for bereaved people of all ages to meet others, talk, share experiences and find mutual support and understanding.

☕ Free drop-in session – tea & coffee provided

Please note: this is a separate activity from the additional 8-week bereavement support group that Rosedale are running at the library.

Are you a compassionate person who enjoys helping others feel welcome?

We're looking for a volunteer to support our monthly Bereavement Café at Attleborough Library.

💙 Third Wednesday of every month
🕥 10:30am–11:30am

Our Bereavement Café provides a warm, informal space where people who have experienced the loss of someone close can come together for conversation, companionship and connection. It's not a counselling service – just a friendly place where no topic is off limits, whether that's chatting about books, gardening, the weather, or sharing memories of a loved one.

As a volunteer, you'll:
☕ Welcome people to the session
🤝 Help create a relaxed and supportive atmosphere
💬 Listen with kindness and help attendees feel at ease
🍵 Assist with making drinks if needed

Sessions are led by our partners at Rosedale Funeral Home, so you'll be supporting the group alongside an experienced facilitator.

If you have a caring nature, good listening skills and can spare just one hour a month, we'd love to hear from you.

We have such great builds at Lego Club! Our Summer Special is today Friday 31st July from 3.30. This is a drop in event, so pop down and join in the fun.

Yesterday at the library we had a music-themed craft activity session to link in with the ongoing Read To The Beat Summer Reading Challenge.

We had fun making carnival headdresses and musical instruments such as shakers and kazoo birds and bats. Thank you for coming and making such colourful creations!
