Lots of learning, lots thinking, lots of fun and activity. Our classes have been busy with their sensory circuits to support regulation and help us manage our emotions. Mental maths is a big focus with outdoor learning, ICT resources and lots of practical resources reinforcing our mathematical strategies.

It was Frobscottle time in our Diamond Classroom. After reading the BFG we have been busy with persuasive writing, exploring parts of speech and this week we’ve been using the key features of instructional writing to produce a recipe for The BFG’s Frobscottle.
With some science linked to acids and alkalines to create our fizz, some sampled our creation, as you can see from the pictures the verdict was mixed😂

A very special assembly with some of our children from each classroom receiving special certificates for how they epitomise one or more of our school values of kindness, respect, positivity, sharing, willingness to learn and compassion. After receiving their certificates it was up to join Mrs Sawyers for hot chocolate and treats at break time.
Already looking forward to our next awards in December.

Another scavenger hunt around our school searching for 2D and 3D shapes, learning all about their properties and using mathematical language to develop our knowledge and understanding. Great teamwork from everyone. 👍📐◻️⭕️🧊
