📚 Our little Book Nook is now closed for the season! We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated books and supported our little Book Nook. It will be back next year, but we are still collecting donations, which will go into the Book Nook next season. ❤️ Thank you for helping us share the love of reading with our community! 🥰

DUTCH GARDEN 🪴

Dutch will be closed over several days this week while our Gardening Team gets to work removing the annual summer bedding and preparing the beds ready for our spring bulbs. 🌷

The majority of the flowers in our beds are annuals and are now coming to the end of their blooms. Any perennials are carefully checked for signs of disease or pests before being moved into our glasshouses, where they’ll be protected and cared for over the winter months. ❄️

October to December is the perfect time to plant spring bulbs, ensuring they’re ready to burst into colour just in time for when we open next season. 🌱

The planting process our team undertakes to create the exquisite displays you see each year is an incredible task, and one we’ll be documenting over the coming weeks. ✨

We’ll be taking you behind the scenes to show you exactly how we prepare, plant and nurture our beds to create those spectacular displays. 💐

DAHLIA 🩷

September is the month when dahlias truly steal the show. 🌸

As summer begins to soften into autumn, the garden reaches its most spectacular crescendo, with dahlias bursting into bloom in an extraordinary tapestry of colour, shape and texture. From delicate blushes and creamy whites to fiery reds, rich burgundies and vibrant pinks, every flower seems to have its own personality. 💫

Their layers upon layers of petals create an almost theatrical display, generous, exuberant and impossible to ignore. And just when you think the garden is beginning to wind down for the season, September dahlias remind us that there is still plenty of magic to come. ✨

This is their moment to shine: peak dahlia season, when the garden is at its most gloriously abundant. 🌺✨

We are now open until the 1st of November so you’ve got plenty of time to come and enjoy these stunning flowers!
