Following our investigation, a man has been sentenced for motor vehicle offences, fail to stop and possession of criminal property in Aylesbury.
Kye Warner of Hilliers Avenue, Hillingdon, Uxbridge pleaded guilty on 5 March 2026 at Aylesbury Crown Court to one count each of:
Driving a motor vehicle dangerously
Driving whilst disqualified
Failing to stop a mechanically controlled vehicle when requested by a constable
Use of a motor vehicle without third party insurance
Possession with intent to supply a class B drug, namely codeine
Failing to provide a specimen for analysis
Possession of criminal property
On Tuesday 26 May at the same court, Warner was sentenced to three years and six months imprisonment.
At around 5.50pm on Thursday 11 December last year, officers from the Proactive Roads Policing Team attempted to stop Warner on the A412, where he was driving a black Mercedes despite being disqualified and uninsured.
He failed to stop and drove at speeds exceeding 120mph along the M40, before taking the Junction 2 northbound slip road. The vehicle was later found at the roundabout, having collided with the offside crash barrier and the side of an HGV, rupturing its fuel tank and causing diesel to spill across the carriageway.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
