🌟 A Massive Shoutout to Our Incredible Personal Assistants! 🌟
When the unexpected happens, the true heart of our care community shines through. We want to share a beautiful story of dedication that happened this week.
Recently, a lovely couple we normally support for just a few hours a week faced a sudden emergency. The wife, who is her husband's primary carer following a stroke, unfortunately suffered a fall, broke her hip, and was admitted to the hospital. Suddenly, her husband needed support 3 times a day, 7 days a week. Having had a poor experience with managed care in the past, he was absolutely adamant that he wanted to stay in the comfort of his own home and avoid respite care.
This is where our amazing network of PAs stepped in. On the exact same day the emergency happened, his current PA liaised with others to arrange full coverage.
A HUGE thank you to Paris, Etta, Leanne, and Zoe (who was ready on standby!) for coming together so quickly to ensure this gentleman's needs were entirely covered by the familiar faces he already knew and trusted. He is so relieved and happy to be supported by a team he considers friends.
An extra special shoutout to Etta and Paris for taking the lead on organising this. You both worked directly with the client to ensure he was comfortable with who was visiting and arranged times that suited his routine perfectly. On top of that, you kept in constant communication with the hospital to ensure he was always updated about his wife's condition.
