We won’t beat around the bush. We're writing to ask for your help because 38 Degrees has a problem. Every time we ask people to chip in a few pounds to support one of our campaigns, we see a spike in people unsubscribing from our mailing list.

We know how unpopular these messages can be. Times are still tough for many - and if you can't donate right now, it can be hard reading them.

But running ambitious campaigns to tackle the urgent challenges our country faces - like Trump’s trade war for our NHS, or Elon Musk messing with our democracy - costs a lot of money.

So we’re stuck. We need the money - but we don’t want to lose the people who make up this incredible movement. That’s why we're asking you to help us tackle this issue.

We’ve crunched the numbers, and if all of us reading this message who can spare a few pounds or start a regular gift to 38 Degrees - we could dramatically reduce the number of fundraising messages/emails we send in 2026.

So, will you be one of those incredible people who helps us fix this problem by starting a monthly gift today? The average monthly donation is £7.76

I’ll chip in £7.76 a month or chip in another amount each month:

Or if you'd prefer to donate by phone you can call us on 020 7846 0093

38 Degrees doesn’t have government grants or take big business cash to fall back on - so when we face challenges like this, it’s people like you, that we turn to for help.

The overwhelming majority of our funding comes from these small donations from special people who care about our work, and can spare a few pounds. They’re the driving force behind everything we do.

It's only thanks to these regular givers that we could rally against winter fuel cuts - and win. [1] Or that we pushed the Government to keep a ban on bee-killing pesticides for the first time in five years. [2] Or that we won a ban on fracking. [3] And so much more! [4]

When enough people chip in regularly, we can go full throttle on the campaigns that actually tackle the unfairness in our country - like making the ultra-rich pay their fair share so life can be more affordable for everyone. But that only works if all of us who can spare a few pounds pitch in.

Even a small amount - just £5 or £10 a month - helps make sure we’ve got the money we need to tackle these challenges head-on, together.

So today, we're asking sincerely: will you help with a small monthly gift? The average monthly gift is £7.76.

Thanks for all that you do,
Itzel and the rest of the 38 Degrees staff team

Our impact in 2025 has been outstanding. But it’s not all good news.

This year, we budgeted for support from large funders to keep our work sustainable, but global instability has made it so much harder to get that funding. That’s left a real gap - one we need to close with regular support from generous people like you.

If you don’t already do so, will you start a monthly gift today? You’ll give us the stability to plan ahead, hire dedicated staff, upgrade our activist tech, and keep campaigning for a better country in 2026 and beyond:

Doctor Who’s Trans Storyline has Bigots Raging: ‘Nothing but Hate in Their Hearts’
27 November 2023 | Written by Asyia Iftikhar | PinkNews

Fans strike back at bigots complaining about Doctor Who’s trans-inclusive storyline.

Anti-LGBTQ+ Doctor Who viewers have shared their pathetic outrage over David Tennant’s comeback episode, “The Star Beast”, which featured a heartwarming trans storyline.

Doctor Who returned with a bang on Saturday (25 November) with the first of three 60th anniversary specials, receiving huge viewing figures and praise from across the fanbase.

The brand-new instalment of the flagship British sci-fi series, helmed by returning showrunner Russell T Davies, saw fan-favourite duo David Tennant and Catherine Tate reprise their roles as the Doctor and Donna Noble

Crucially, the cast also featured Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney as Donna’s daughter Rose Noble, with her identity as a trans woman front and centre throughout the episode.

In the episode, viewers witnessed Donna’s fierce protectiveness against transphobic bullies, the Doctor asking for antagonist the Meep’s (Miriam Margolyes) pronouns, and Rose’s identity playing an essential role in saving the world from certain doom.

Anti-LGBTQ+ Doctor Who viewers have shared their pathetic anger over the latest episode featuring a pro-trans storyline at its heart.

Parking on pavements poses a serious threat to public safety as cars blocking pavements can force people out on to the road. We want the Government to legislate restricting pavement parking, unless an exception is made by a local authority, to ensure that everyone can walk their streets safely.
