🤝 We get to know Chris Harvey as he prepares for his Operation Bullseye debut in July after coming through the RAF Boulmer qualifier!

Tell us about your Service Background?

🗣️ 13 years service in Royal Artillery, one tour of Cyprus and three tours of Afghanistan. I was also a Phase one training instructor for three years at Pirbright. Joined 2003 left 2016.

Tell us about your darting journey?

🗣️ Played darts as a kid for fun then joined army and didn't play for years. I played in the North-East for around 15-18 years. Got over 50 caps for Northumberland and county vice captain. I competed in PDC Q School 2024 getting to second stage missing out by 3 points and again in 2026. I have also reached the last 16 on the PDC Challenge Tour!

What does qualifying for Bullseye mean to you?

🗣️ Having been beaten in a final at Catterick for op bullseye one, I'm chuffed to have gone one further and qualify this time!

Another interesting fact...

🗣️ I rowed across the Atlantic in 2022 for a northeast veterans mental health charity (Veterans at Ease). Raising over £140,000.

• Online knockout competition via DartCounter
• Open to RAF, Army, Royal Navy and Veterans
• £10 entry fee
• Matches will be arranged and played at the earliest convenient time between you and your opponent
• Clear camera view of the dartboard and a DartCounter account are required

🆕 After our major news surrounding the WDF World Masters yesterday, we can confirm that EXPENSES will be COVERED for your time out in Las Vegas!

This includes, flights, accommodation and entry fees for the week of tournaments which take place between the 14th and 19th of July!

Remember there will be a qualifier for each individual pathway (Army, RAF, Royal Navy and Veterans) With a player from each earning their spot at the World Masters!

😲‼️ Defence Darts has officially been allocated four qualification places for the WDF World Masters in Las Vegas this July, with the tournaments set to take place between 14th and the 19th July!

An online qualifier will determine representatives from across the RAF, Army, Royal Navy and Veteran community, with a spot available in each service.

🤝 We get to know Danny Humphries as he returns to Operation Bullseye for a second crack at the title! The former Trooper has his signed set on a spot at the Lakeside World Championship after securing his first WDF title earlier this year, but Aylesbury remains firmly in his sights for July!

Tell us about your Service background?

🗣️ I served as a Trooper in the Queen's Royal Hussars, the Army's most senior armoured regiment.

Tell us about your darting journey and proudest achievements?

🗣️ I started playing at 16, and as I played more regularly I found my love for the Sport, playing on the Youth Tour early on. As my game progressed, I grew more competitive, playing County darts for both Leicestershire and Wiltshire..

I love to travel for tournaments, Cyprus I have been to several times to compete in a strong darting community, this recently resulted in my maiden WDF title where I became the Cyprus International Open Masters Champion for 2026.

Having recently attempted Q School, I entered the PDC Challenge Tour this year, with a recent top 32 finish achieved. Moving forward I aim to make it to the top, with the Modus series and the Lakeside World Championships in my sights in the near future.

What does qualifying for Op Bullseye mean to you?

🗣️ Qualifying for both Op Bullseye 1 & 2 is right up there with my proudest moments. Being able to compete with the best early on is such a great opportunity that I want to grab with both hands. Darts aside, Op Bullseye raises so much money for Veteran's charities, helping those who are having hard times and supporting their mental health. These are causes close to my heart, affecting many friends and former colleagues, I am proud to be involved with Op Bullseye and the work it does.

🤝 We get to know Mark 'Buzz' Bower as he returned to Operation Bullseye in a few weeks time, looking to get his name on the trophy after losing out to the eventual champion Vince Tipple last time out!

Tell us about your Service background?

🗣️ "I joined the REME in 2005 as a vehicle mechanic and left 2015. Posted all around the UK and Germany. Played a lot of rugby while in the military. I left when my wife fell pregnant so I could stay local and not get posted around."

Tell us about your darting journey?

🗣️ "I have always thrown a dart when down the pub but nothing too serious.
I really picked it up about 1 month before lockdown. I carried on in lockdown playing online, once we were able to go back and play in the pubs I joined my local team in Gosport."

🗣️ "I play pub league , local ADC events every now and then, a weekly comp on a Wednesday, play online and also represent Hampshire at county level.

Greatest achievement is representing my county and also playing in the first op bullseye."

What does qualifying for Bullseye mean to you?

🗣️ "I am over the moon to qualify for this years tournament at the first time of asking and looking forward to hopefully winning the event this year." 😉

🏆 Vince Tipple will be back to defend his Operation Bullseye title on the 2nd July as he heads to Bradmoor Farm for the military celebration.

'Invincible', will be back alongside Keegan Brown who he claimed the trophy with last time out in Blackpool! 🤔
