The construction works are programmed to begin on or around 15 June 2026 and are expected to be completed by 20 June 2026, subject to weather conditions. To ensure the safety of road users, pedestrians, and our workforce, the carriageway bridge joint work and associated construction activities will be carried out under temporary road closures. To minimise disruption, the road closures will be in place as follows:
Bridge Joint work on A140 Aylsham Bypass Bridge
From 15 June 2026 (19:00) to 20 June 2026 (05:00)
When the road closure on Aylsham bypass bridge is in force, an official fully signed diversion route will be in place to accommodate HGVs. Other drivers are welcome to use their own alternative routes.
Access to properties and businesses within the closures will be always maintained from one end of the closure however there may be times where vehicle access is restricted as work takes place in front of properties. Emergency services will be made aware of the closures.
