We will not be sharing our usual Feelgood Friday post today.

Today is the South Ayrshire Annual Flower Walk, a time for our community to come together to remember those we have lost to drug and alcohol use and su***de.

Through our work, we support many clients and families who have been affected by these issues, and we recognise how important it is to stand alongside our community, show our support and help raise awareness.

We’ll be taking time today to reflect, remember and support the message of hope, connection and recovery. 💜🌸

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected.

The Great British Summer Savings scheme could help you save on family days out, children’s meals and entertainment.

From 25 June until 1 September 2026, the scheme temporarily reduces VAT on eligible activities from 20% to 5%. The savings should be passed on to customers by participating businesses.

This Feel Good Friday, we're proud to be one of the partner organisations supporting Working for Ayr North on its community Days of Action.

By working alongside local partners, we're helping make it easier for people to access trusted information, advice and support close to where they live.

Whether it's guidance on benefits, housing, energy, money matters or connecting with other local services, we're here to help people find the right support at the right time.

It's fantastic to see the positive impact these events are having across Ayr North, bringing services together, building relationships and ensuring local residents know they don't have to face challenges alone.

Pension Age Disability Payment is replacing Attendance Allowance for people in Scotland. The payment can give people extra money if they have:

• a disability or long-term health condition that means they need help looking after themselves or supervision to stay safe

• reached State Pension age

It is also available to people of State Pension age with a terminal illness.

People already getting Attendance Allowance from the DWP don't have to do anything as their awards have already started to gradually transfer to Social Security Scotland.

From 1 September 2026, changes to new Motability Scheme leases will take effect for customers who receive their allowance from Social Security Scotland.

If you place a new lease order after 1st September 2026 there will be key changes to your mileage allowance, tyre replacement and EU breakdown cover.
