Our little street will never be the same again. Our hearts will forever be broken.
Helen was the most wonderfully positive, funny, caring, kind human. She had time for everyone and everyone felt so seen by her.
She leaves behind an enormous hole no one else could fill but we will think of you with a smile and remember your radiance 🩵

Our love and thoughts go out to her family and everyone who loved her and those are many.

📣 SHOUT OUT 📣

On behalf of the Newmarket Street Business Group, we want to say a huge thank you to Angela for everything she’s done over the past 14 months.

She’s been a true driving force for the street — a visionary, a voice, and a real support to so many of us along the way.

With backing from South Ayrshire Council, we secured funding for a co-ordinator role to help bring the business community together and get things moving — and what a difference it’s made.

There are still projects in the pipeline (including improved lighting and the shopfront improvement scheme), but as these things take time, Angela and the NMST Business Group will continue to keep momentum going on a voluntary basis.

And of course, Angela is the owner of the beautiful Folia right here on Newmarket Street — so she’s very much part of the fabric of what makes this place so special.

Thank you, Angela! We’re lucky to have you 💛

🌿 Welcome BACK to Newmarket Street, Angela 🌿

We’re thrilled to see Folia flourishing at 50 Newmarket St, Ayr — a stunning new café and plant shop from the wonderfully talented Angela (you’ll remember her from the much-loved Unity Grill).

Angela has that rare gift for making everything she touches beautiful — from her coffee and cakes to her florals and interiors. We’ve already sampled the coffee (perfect), the grilled cheeses (heavenly), and treated ourselves to one of her autumn bouquets (utterly irresistible).

And of course, no visit is complete without a hello to Sunny, the gorgeous four-legged mascot who’ll greet you with a wag and a smile.

Pop in, sip something lovely, and soak up the greenery — it’s so good to have her back where she belongs. 🌱☕🪴
