Meet Ken O’Hara, the talented local actor, artist, and musician behind the one-man show “Mark Twain in Person.” With nearly 50 years of experience in theatre, Ken will share the inspiration behind his portrayal of the iconic American writer, along with insights into his writing and performance process.

You’ll also hear about his upcoming summer tour of South Ayrshire, a perfect opportunity to experience the show for yourself!

Join us at Carnegie Library for an inspiring and entertaining afternoon with Gordon Inglis, as he discusses his debut book 'Life is a Locker Room.'

Drawing on a remarkable career spanning professional football, business leadership, and entrepreneurship, Gordon shares stories and insights from both the pitch and the boardroom. His book explores the many personalities and characters we encounter in life, from sport to business and beyond , told with humour, honesty, and a distinctly Scottish edge.

A former football scholarship athlete in the United States, Gordon has also built a successful career working with major automotive brands and now serves as Chairman of Annbank United Community Football Club. His experiences bring a unique perspective on teamwork, leadership, and the lessons we learn along the way.

Expect engaging conversation, real-life stories, and plenty of laughs in this relaxed author talk. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the inspiration behind Life is a Locker Room.
