🏏 FREE GIRLS‑ONLY CRICKET SESSIONS – STARTING 10TH JUNE! 🏏

We’re excited to announce that every Wednesday from 5.30–6.30pm, beginning 10th June, Prestwick Cricket Club will be running a FREE eight‑week block of girls‑only soft ball cricket sessions as part of the nationwide Dynamos programme, first introduced by the ECB.

As the only club in Ayrshire with a competitive Premier League Women & Girls team, we’re passionate about growing the game and welcoming more girls into cricket.

✨ Who’s delivering the sessions?
These fun, energetic and beginner‑friendly sessions will be led by:
• Holly Druce – Women’s XI Captain, ICC Level 2 Coach & Cricket Scotland Women & Girls Engagement Officer
• Deborah Otterson – Women’s XI Vice Captain & Level 2 Coach

✨ Who is it for?
Girls aged 7–12 who want to learn new skills, build confidence, and make new friends in a safe, supportive environment.

✨ Bonus!
Every girl who signs up will receive a FREE Dynamos T‑shirt.

In this role, you’ll:

🚲 Develop and deliver active travel programmes across South Ayrshire
🤝 Work closely with local communities and partners to support behaviour change
📅 Coordinate day‑to‑day delivery of cycling, walking and wheeling activities including Bikeability, Rock Up and Ride and our South Ayrshire Health Walks programmes
👥 Lead and mentor staff and volunteers
📊 Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting to show the impact of your work
🎓 Deliver training and development to ensure high‑quality, safe and accredited activity
🤝 Collaborate with partners including Ayrshire Roads Alliance, Cycling Scotland, Walking Scotland, Scottish Cycling, SPT, schools, workplaces and community organisations
🌍 Drive service improvement and contribute to wider Council initiatives

A huge well done and thank you to all the pupils who participated in today's Active Schools Triathlon! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It was fantastic to see just under 400 pupils taking part, showing great enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event. The energy and effort on display made for a brilliant day of activity and achievement.

A big thank you also to all the staff, volunteers and supporters who helped make the event such a success. Special thanks to Prestwick Tennis Center, Troon Handball Club and Peter Boyle Bowling Club for providing a fantastic taster sessions for all the pupils.
