Yesterday, Thriving Communities had the absolute pleasure of supporting South Ayrshire’s very own Nick Morgan’s ‘No Scotland, No Party’ event 🎶✨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
And what an event it was! 🎉🔥

Pupils from schools across South Ayrshire had an amazing time dancing, smiling, and soaking up the atmosphere 💃🕺😁

Such an inspiration for our young people 🌟 — a fantastic day enjoyed by all! 🙌🎉

🌟 Good News Story 🌟

We’re delighted to share some fantastic news about Chloe McGinnis! 👏

Chloe joined South Ayrshire Council as a Business and Administration Modern Apprentice, where she quickly demonstrated her dedication, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic. Through her hard work and commitment, Chloe has now successfully secured a full-time permanent position with Ayrshire Archives—a brilliant achievement! 🎉

Not only that, Chloe is continuing to invest in her future by working towards completing her PgCert in Archival Studies, further developing her skills and expertise within the archives sector. 📚

Chloe’s journey is a great example of how Modern Apprenticeships can open doors and support young people to build rewarding careers. We’re incredibly proud of her progress and can’t wait to see what she achieves next.

✨ Success Story Spotlight – Charlie’s Journey ✨

Three years ago, Charlie took the first step towards a brighter future by joining the Glendoune Centre drop-in and attending Thriving Communities Employability groups. With support from Brooke, Charlie created an action plan to build confidence and shape the next chapter.

Since then, Charlie has:
✅ Gained new qualifications
✅ Built confidence and skills
✅ Completed an Outdoor Instructor Modern Apprenticeship
✅ Developed valuable experience at Dolphin House
✅ Even passed his driving test 🚗

And now, Charlie is moving into full-time work as a trainee bus driver! 🚌👏

💬Charlie Said: “My time at Thriving Communities Employability has been great. I am grateful for all the support, encouragement, and opportunities that have helped me grow in confidence and move forward in my career.”

Week 7/7 and what a way to finish our Saltire Award 🥳

To celebrate all the hard work, dedication and commitment from our amazing participants, we surprised them with a well-deserved celebration day filled with pizza and bowling 🎳🍕

Well done to all the participants for taking part in the challenge and volunteering. A huge thank you to all the organisations that supported, and for a great experience. 😊
