✨ Success Story – Positive Journey ✨
Joining our Thriving Communities Employability Programme just 15 months ago, Gregor has achieved so much in such a short time. Supported by his officer in the Carrick Locality Gregor has:
✅ Gained new qualifications
✅ Built confidence and skills
✅ Attended groups including CSCS, Town Centre Programme, Health & Wellbeing, Preparation for Work
✅ Life skill groups such as Money Matters, Practical Skills and Driving Theory
✅ Commissioned courses including SBWA Motor Mechanics, Hub International
✅ Supported with both employment and college applications, and interview preparation
✅ Passed his CBT test 🏍️ and currently taking driving lessons 🚗
And now, we are delighted that Gregor is in local employment while waiting for his college course to start in August 26. 📆👏
💬Gregor Said: “I really enjoyed the whole programme including having a different range of experiences, meeting different people and widening my scope. My officer supported me with gaining confidence, pushing me to try new things and out my comfort zone, learn new skills, getting certificates/qualification, getting a job. She also helped me to apply for college and I have an unconditional offer for a course starting in August. The whole experience was brilliant and opened my eyes. All the officers in Carrick are friendly, supportive and great.”
