Met with market project manager yesterday. contractors just about sorted a couple of outstanding conditions to sort but we are very hopeful for an August start 😀

Feildfare/back meadows

I know there has been complaints about the state of the road and lack of wheel washing as the vehicles are leaving site so wanted to update people

The Local Planning Authority have taken action on the state of the roads and will closely monitor the situation

Hopefully this will see a prompt resolution to the issue

It is disappointing that a company of this size can not stick to there own construction management plan

Following the concerns raised over the weekend about paving in Bacup . I have now received the following response from the project manager.

There are further works planned to include a new bus stop taking place this week. Following this we’ll be meeting on site to ensure any works are made good etc. It’s worth keeping in mind that the specification of the paving was from LCC and that it will take some time to weather in being new compared to the existing paving that has probably been down for decades. Also we will be jet washing all of the paving as part of the main market works planned to start this summer.

Morning all its been a busy week for me with the day Job 🙂

Just a bit of an update im working with the Lancashire county councillor to try and do something about the nightmare aroud school drop off time at St saviours Bacup if any has and photos or could take photos for me it's would be really helpful we are also looking at pennine road near the fire station at the request from residents

As you know im a big believer in giving credit where its due i have contacted cllr Daniel Matchett about 2 different traffic/ parking concerns in the last few days and he has responded to both quickly and has said he will bring them up at today's highways meeting

I will let you know the outcome 😀
