Following a meeting on site today with Andy MacNae MP and Gareth Walker (RBC Enforcement officer). Andy is going to contact LCC regarding the highway issues and highlight in parliament the lack of enforcement that can be brought against firms when they breach conditions.(should local officers have more power) I am disgusted at the reaction of the builders towards Gareth with very abusive language being used, this should never be acceptable he is only doing his Job with would not be necessary if the site management plan was being followed

****LIGHTS GONE ******

I have been up to fieldfare to have a look at the temporary traffic lights arrangement after a resident got in touch with concerns of safety .I completely agree the placement of the lights has not taken into consideration how people are able to safely get on or off their own driveways .

I have spoken with the Lancashire county councillor and sent across some photos.
I have asked him to look at it urgently.

*** update from Cllr Daniel Matchett
I’ve spoken in person to our interim director of highways and he will instruct officers to relook at the layout of those traffic lights.*****

So fingers crossed 🤞

Feildfare/back meadows

I know there has been complaints about the state of the road and lack of wheel washing as the vehicles are leaving site so wanted to update people

The Local Planning Authority have taken action on the state of the roads and will closely monitor the situation

Hopefully this will see a prompt resolution to the issue

It is disappointing that a company of this size can not stick to there own construction management plan

Following the concerns raised over the weekend about paving in Bacup . I have now received the following response from the project manager.

There are further works planned to include a new bus stop taking place this week. Following this we’ll be meeting on site to ensure any works are made good etc. It’s worth keeping in mind that the specification of the paving was from LCC and that it will take some time to weather in being new compared to the existing paving that has probably been down for decades. Also we will be jet washing all of the paving as part of the main market works planned to start this summer.
