🌸🐣 What a cracking time we had last Thursday at Derby Day Services! 🐣🌸

Our Easter celebrations were an absolute treat – full of joy, laughter, and a few surprise dance moves! 😉

Everyone got stuck into making their own Easter bonnets 🎩🌼 (yes, even the staff!), and we captured some lovely springtime photos 📸. Then it was time for the Easter egg hunt – and our clients gave the Easter Bunny a run for his money! 🐰🍫

The afternoon was filled with dancing 💃🕺, tea, and plenty of cake – a proper traditional afternoon tea. One of our clients' family members, Sue, said "I never thought he would get up and dance!" – and we have to admit, neither did we… but what a joy it was to see! 🥰

Joan told us her husband had said "It was clear that a lot of thought and effort had gone into the day." – which means the world to us. That’s exactly what we aim for – care that’s not only professional but also personal and full of heart. 💛

What have we been up to today in Newark?
Our Happy Helpers have been out and about supporting people to do more of what matters to them.

From picking out plants at The Range’s Garden Centre 🪴 (and a toilet roll holder spotted on the way to the till!), to a trip to Aldi for Stilton cheese and red wine 🧀🍷 (top of the list, though a few extras snuck in too!), and even fish & chips at The Lord Nelson, Winthorpe 🐟🍟

Whether it’s errands, outings or simply enjoying good food in good company — we’re here to help people live life their way.

Caring for a loved one is a truly special role — but it can be exhausting, and everyone needs a little support now and then. 💛

Our adult day service offers a safe, friendly space where people can reconnect with others, enjoy uplifting activities, and feel part of something again — dancing, chatting, crafting, or simply sharing a cuppa. 🎶🕺☕

It’s a chance for them to be more than just ‘looked after’ — to be part of their own story again, with purpose and joy. And while they’re enjoying their day, you get a bit of breathing space, knowing they’re in caring hands. 🧘‍♀️🧘
