Today I visited Diamonds Newsagents for the last time.At 6 pm Eugene will close the door for the last time after 47 years of service to the community in Ballymena.I have been a customer for most of those years and I will miss Eugene greatly.Many tributes have been paid recently and thoroughly deserved.Many friendships were forged in that time not least with members of his family brothers Terry,Martin the late Pat and his late father John.It will be an emotional day for Eugene and I was sad when I left the shop .I will treasure this photo and great memories of Eugene a perfect Gentleman.

Could I draw your attention to a potential trip hazard on Ballymoney street just outside the News Rack .Somehow a single Kerbstone has become raised on one side and is a definite trip hazard. I Suspect a large commercial vehicle has been the cause.i would like to thank my party colleague Roy McClean for drawing my attention to it . Please be careful.I have alerted DFI to the problem
