It is with deep regret that we have learned of the passing of the father-in-law of Sir Knight and Bro Nigel Christie (DM of Lyles Knights of the Bann Valley RBP 479 and Treasurer of O'Hara'sTrue Blues LOL804)) and grandfather of Bro Joel Christie (O'Hara'sTrue Blues LOL804). The sympathies of us all are with the Christie family at this difficult time.

The beautiful gift Lyles Knights of the Bann Valley RBP 479 received from Ballymaconnelly Sons of Conquerors Flute Band yesterday to mark 20 years of enjoying the Black Saturday as one. This will have pride of place in the Orange Hall.

A glorious day in Larne where we joined with Ballymaconnelly Sons of Conquerors to take part in one of the greatest days of the year.

Before parading, we had a few special presentations at Bendooragh Orange Hall where 4 of our Sir Knights received 20 year service medals: Sir Knights Alistair Stevenson, Davy Taylor, Jason Rouke and Stevie Lennox.

As we prepared to leave, we were delighted to present Ballymaconnelly Sons of Conquerors FB with a special flag to mark our 20th year walking together on the Last Saturday.

We were absolutely delighted when the band gave us a bespoke gift also reflecting the special relationship between our preceptory and the band. This is something we will cherish and will have pride of place in our hall.

The Last Saturday parade is always a highlight for us but the one today was particularly special. Here's to the next 20 years of unity and brotherhood.

The members of Lyle's Knights of the Bann Valley RBP 479 will meet at Bendooragh Orange Hall at 8.30am before parading part of the village with Ballymaconnelly Sons of Conquerors. We will then walk from the Milltown, Ballymoney at 10am along Castle Street and up Main Street, Church Street, Queen Street to Trinity Roundabout before heading on to Larne.

In the evening, we will parade from the Rodden Foot along Queen Street, Victoria Street, Linen hall Street, High Street, Main Street to Castle Street carpark.

Hope to see y'all in Bendooragh, Ballymoney or Larne - or better still, all three places! Have a great Black Saturday everyone!

We have been richly blessed by having this excellent band of brothers united with us for the annual Black Saturday demonstrations for 20 years. Looking forward to Saturday when we join together again in Larne, where it all began two decades ago.

This Saturday marks a very special milestone for us, as we celebrate 20 years of having the absolute pleasure and privilege of leading Lyle Knights of the Bann Valley RBP 479. 🇬🇧

Twenty years of friendship, memories, music, parades and plenty of good times along the way — and we couldn’t be prouder to have shared every one of them together.

We’re looking forward to marking the occasion this weekend at the Black Saturday parade in Larne, surrounded by friends and fellow supporters.

Here’s to 20 years together, and to many, many more years of friendship, fellowship and making memories.
