Meet Mittens 🐾

We might be a little late for National Pet Day… but at Roc NorthWest, every day is a celebration of the small things that make a big difference 💙

Mittens, our much-loved black and white cat, is a huge part of life in one of our homes. She’s cared for by both our young people and our team, and in return, she gives comfort, routine, and unconditional companionship.

For many of the young people we support, learning to care for an animal like Mittens helps build:
✨ Trust
✨ Responsibility
✨ Emotional connection
✨ Confidence

It’s often the quiet moments, feeding her, playing, or just having her nearby, that help young people feel calm, safe, and understood.

And that’s what working at Roc NorthWest is all about.

You’re not just doing a job, you’re helping to create a home filled with warmth, connection, and moments that matter (with the occasional paw print along the way 🐾).

If you’re a caring, patient person who wants to make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
