⚔️ Step back in time at Bebbanburg’s Anglo-Saxon & Viking Market this weekend - 13 & 14 June!

Browse authentic wares, watch traditional crafts come to life, and meet merchants from across the kingdoms in this vibrant celebration of history.

📢 Please note: On Saturday 13 June, the castle will close early due to a private event, with last admission at 2:30pm. We recommend visiting earlier in the day to make the most of your experience.

📢 Visitor Notice – Saturday 13 June Only

Due to a private event, some areas of Bamburgh Castle will close earlier than usual on Saturday 13 June:

Last admission will be 2:30pm (instead of 4pm)

🚫 Inner Ward & Battery Terrace
• Access restricted from 4:30pm

☕ Clocktower Café, Tack Room & Bebbanburg Market event
• Open as normal until 4:45pm

🎟️ Tickets
• Online tickets will not be available
• Tickets can be purchased on arrival at the ticket office

These temporary changes apply on Saturday 13 June only.

All other days remain unchanged:
• Last admission to the castle: 4:00pm
• Last admission to the State Rooms: 4:15pm
• Site closes: 5:00pm

Taking place every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday throughout June, July and August, these guided tours bring the story of The Last Kingdom to life in the spectacular setting of Bebbanburg itself.

Spaces are limited, so book in advance to avoid disappointment! Tickets can be booked via our Whats On page.
