Torphins Community Council urgently needs new members – are you willing to help your community?
TCC is a vital conduit between our community and Aberdeenshire Council – and even the Scottish Government. Our meetings are usually attended by a local councillor who can hear concerns at first hand.
TCC played a key role in the campaign to prevent the Hill of Fare being utterly marred by an inappropriate wind farm development – we still await the outcome.
In the coming months Aberdeenshire Council will be producing its Local Development Plan, to guide housebuilding and other development over the next ten years. This will affect Torphins.
TCC will have a very important role in that process – we have already prepared a Local Place Plan which has been accepted by Aberdeenshire Council.
We need a few more members to strengthen our representative role. The time commitment is not great – meetings are on the first Thursday of each month except August – but the work is rewarding.
Will you help give Torphins a voice in these important matters?
Don’t leave it to others – please help!

Aberdeenshire Council "Let's Talk Aberdeenshire" resident satisfaction survey.
The survey gives residents an opportunity to tell about their experiences of living in Aberdeenshire. The feedback will help Aberdeenshire Council understand local priorities and identify areas for improvement across communities and council services.
This annual survey brings feedback together from across the whole of Aberdeenshire and helps build an area-wide picture of what residents think.
The survey can be completed online at:
https://engage.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/lets-talk-aberdeenshire
The survey closes on 31 October 2026. Paper copies can also be made available in any library or service point across Aberdeenshire.

We want to hear from you! How’s life in your part of Aberdeenshire? Whether it’s the local park, public transport, community events, or how easy it is to get help when you need it – your views matter. This short survey is your chance to tell Aberdeenshire Council what’s
