Just highlighting how bad the fire is near Aviemore after it has ignited again.

Parts of Nethybridge are being evacuated due to a change in the wind direction.

Thoughts are with all the volunteers fighting this fire.

The ongoing fire in the northern Cairngorms is being driven south on strong winds. The fire is approaching the northern part of Mar Lodge Estate, and therefore as a precaution, we are closing the car parks at the Linn of Dee and Linn of Quoich.

The fire is still a significant distance away, and there is no immediate risk to buildings or property on Mar Lodge Estate.

However, given that this is a serious fire, and that many people choose to walk through the Cairngorms from these car parks, particularly at weekends, we have taken this decision as a precaution, to protect the public, and to help facilitate any emergency response, should it be required.

Scottish Fire have issued a “very high” risk of fire.

Please be very mindful over the next few days especially.

Sadly there is currently a large wildfire affecting Glenmore near Aviemore already.

The summer sun is glorious and great to be out and about enjoying our amazing countryside but PLEASE 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏don't start a fire - no BBQs or glass bottles left lying around or ci******es thrown out of car windows. The land is tinder dry, there is vulnerable wildlife and farmers' stock out there, people's homes might be close by and are all at risk to say nothing of the welfare of those fighting the fires.

Can you post please about f***ing idiots going to fast on cairn road...3x today had cars come round corner on my side of road as apparently either too f***ing fast or maybe their steering wheels dont work ....also if Glen dye brig got marks on it your looking for a volkswagon amarok dark coloured with a huge car transporter trailer ....he was parked looking at bridge why I dont know bit took off when I came by...looked suspicious
